Kindergarten Prep (ages 4–5 years old)
Children who are 4 years old by September 6, 2022, are eligible for the Kindergarten Preparation program. The K Prep program at Cedar Crest is designed to promote school readiness for students who are on track to transition to Young Fives or conventional kindergarten programs in the 2023-2024 school year. K Prep students enjoy a comprehensive curriculum rich in humanities while developing academic skills and social-emotional maturity for kindergarten success.
Half and full day program options are available. A minimum participation of three mornings per week is recommended for optimal academic preparation.
2022-2023 Kindergarten Prep classes are offered Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (morning only) – OR – 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (full day) with the following weekly attendance options:
5 days/week: Monday-Friday
4 days/week: Monday-Thursday -OR- Tuesday-Friday
3 days/week: Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Cedar Crest Early Childhood Center and Cedar Crest Early Learning Center are located in Clarkston, Michigan. Our early childhood programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC®). NAEYC® accredited centers adhere to standards and practices that exceed licensing standards. NAEYC® standards reflect best practices in early childhood education programs that are supported by research and ongoing evaluation of programs.
