Military Families
In an effort to help military families in need of care, Cedar Early Childhood Center has partnered with Child Care Aware® of America and Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) to offer assistance for eligible active duty military families and a solution to address their child care needs when care at an on-base Child Development Center (CDC) isn’t available. Cedar Early Childhood programs are nationally accredited (NAEYC) and provide high-quality care and an outstanding learning environment for children birth through 5 years old. Cedar Crest is honored to offer local military families reduced tuition rates through the Child Care Aware® of America and MCCYN subsidy programs.

HOW TO CONTACT CHILD CARE AWARE OF AMERICA
Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) is a DoD and U.S. Coast Guard fee assistance program for eligible families who cannot access military-operated child care due to distance or waitlists. With fee assistance, a portion of your child care costs is paid to offset the costs of community-based care. This makes it easier for families to afford quality child care from local community providers.
Cedar Early Childhood Center is located in Clarkston, Michigan. Our early childhood programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC®). NAEYC® accredited centers adhere to standards and practices that exceed licensing standards. NAEYC® standards reflect best practices in early childhood education programs that are supported by research and ongoing evaluation of programs.
