Cedar Crest Distance Learning Center

Cedar Crest is excited to announce that we are offering a supported classroom on the Cedar Crest Academy campus in which Clarkston Community School District students, K-2, will engage in distance learning programs until in-person instruction resumes in the CCS district. Our mission in developing this program is to provide child care for local families by creating a safe distance learning environment with peer interaction.

In an effort to maintain a small and consistent student group for health, safety, and learning purposes, 12 FULL-TIME SPOTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROGRAM.

  • Full-time enrollment only: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

  • Students will use their CCS school-issued learning device (iPad, Chromebook, etc.) at Cedar Crest on which they will access their distance learning program.
  • Cedar Crest early childhood staff will assist children as they participate in their distance learning program instructed by their CCS district teachers.
  • As a supplement to the distance learning curriculum, Cedar Crest staff will provide play opportunities, gross motor activities, crafts, outdoor recess, and a rest period.

  • Families provide headphones for distance learning purposes.
