Crest Crest Early Childhood Center

Cedar Crest believes in excellence for early childhood care and education. We believe children of every age deserve respect and safety. Children learn best when actively involved in the learning process and presented developmentally appropriate activity. We believe in collaboration for a nurturing environment to meet individual needs and foster learning in both students and staff. We believe in making a difference in our world.

Cedar Crest Early Childhood Center is located in Clarkston, Michigan, and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC®). NAEYC® accreditation is a rigorous and transformative quality-improvement system that uses a set of 10 research-based standards to collaborate with early education programs to recognize and drive quality-improvement in high-quality early learning environments. In the 30 years since NAEYC® accreditation was established, it has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education. More than 7,000 programs are currently accredited by NAEYC® – less than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools, and kindergartens nationally achieve this recognition. To learn more about NAEYC® Accreditation, visit naeyc.org.

Cedar Crest Early Childhood Center offers Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten Prep classes designed to nurture optimal child development, allowing a sense of voice, confidence and curiosity to develop. Cedar Crest strives to prepare children to be valuable members of society, who will be healthy, kind, and competent, by modeling and teaching concepts, compassion and the skill of making positive choices.
